Food Combining Helpful for Gas and Bloating
Food combining is a method of eating that requires one to combine foods in a certain way to optimize digestion. Here are the basics of food combining:
Eat fruit and fruit juices alone.
Eat vegetable with proteins (animal meat and fish)
Eat starches with vegetables.
Do not eat fruit with any other food.
Do not eat starch with proteins (animal meat and fish)
Fruit is a simple carbohydrate. When it is thrown in with another type of food, it sits and ferments creating a lot of gas and bloating. When you eat fruit alone, you will notice you may be hungry just 10 minutes or so afterwards. This is because it is easily digested. When it is thrown in with another type of food, it has no where to go but to sit and ferment.
