Small Community Unites to Fundraise for ALS Research

ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease is a neurological condition with fatal consequences. In the span of a few years people quickly lose their motor function. The life expectancy in ALS ranges from 3 to 5 years. Multiple Sclerosis is a similar disease which has more public awareness because people tend to have a much longer life expectancy. The causes of ALS are unknown and more research is needed.
